WAITING FOR THE RIGHT TIME…

How long do you hold off from doing something because you don’t feel “ready”?

Do you justify to yourself why you are waiting until next week or even next month?

When starting anything new we often talk to ourself… a lot. We rationalize our decisions and we find ways to justify why or why we didn’t follow through with what we wanted.  Because sometimes it’s easier to justify the why not than simply starting.

Holding yourself accountable for something you want is quite hard because there’s no one to report to except back to yourself.

We often realize that if we want a good outcome then we have to work hard for it and if we don’t work hard for it then it’s not worth the outcome.

Deep down we all know setting time aside to train for your health (physically and mentally) is genuinely good for you.

But we also remember the time we tried something new in the past, didn’t stick with it, and didn’t receive the outcome we hoped for.

Many of us have done this with trying a training program or a nutrition guide. So how do you make sure that when you are ready to start a new training you stick with it so you experience the outcome or the feeling of change that can take place?

HERE ARE 5 WAYS YOU CAN START TODAY AND TAKE EXTREME OWNERSHIP FOR YOUR HEALTH:

  1. Invite a friend to join you. Knowing someone who will be there right along with you will help with the nerves and be there to provide you additional comfort.

  2. Schedule it in your calendar. If it’s not in your calendar it doesn’t exist and less likely to cancel. Treat it just like you would a work meeting, date with your partner, or a kids playdate.

  3. Share with those around your WHY. Share with your close circle why this is important to you or why you want to get started. This allows them to support you and ensure you commit to the reason.

  4. Have an attachment. Often times monetary attachment can help. Having a membership or paying for a program will significantly increase showing up.

  5. Have a program to follow. Leave this up to an expert so it’s one less thing you need to think about.

Simplify where your attention needs to go and focus on one thing at a time when you start off. The last thing you want to do is overwhelm yourself with multiple new outcomes.

If you always wait for the right time, the time will never come.

So if you are looking for some accountability to get started, we start our Next 8 Week On Ramp Program on August 29th. Let our team help you in getting started, like just 200 other women have.
