MY SUPERPOWER- SHOW UP

What’s My SuperPower? I show up for myself THAT’S my SuperPower.

I originally came onboard as a Bikini Fit member in 2014, but then left Hong Kong in 2016. Upon my return, I decided to come back and joined the studio which became Pherform.

Working in Financial Services can be a tough job and can take up a lot of your positive mental energy. It is a high stress environment and I have been doing this for many years.

The only thing that helped me cope with work and other personal factors in my life was being consistent in my workouts.

Walking into the welcoming community at Pherform is a very important factor that helps keep me coming to class as well.

Arriving at the gym with familiar faces and supporting each other the way we do, makes the community like family. I have a lot of Pherform cousins- we see each other around town, we arrange lunches and dinner. And if I see them walking down the street, we wave and we smile at each other. You don’t get that anywhere else. There is a true focus on their members and you feel it from the minute you walk in.

Another motivating factor is my body and the changes I have had throughout the years- I see my ability to lift and get stronger has changed immensely. However, with age, I am not as fast as I used to be so I have switched my mindset to make small goals like ‘Have I moved today?” “Did I get my heart rate up?”, “Have I done something that helps my energy”. There is no pressure to feel otherwise.

Walking into Pherform and taking a class is the ONE time your mind can get away and you only focus on you and your time there. Nobody is there to be seen, they are all there to show up and that is what makes us all pretty incredible.
