How Strength Training Leaves A Lasting Impression

“Today is my last day with the Pherform community and I am filled with gratitude for all that I have learned here.

I've met some incredible people at Pherform - it's been an immensely moving and life-changing experience that has lasted close to 2 years. I have laughed, cried, felt disappointed and exhilarated here but most importantly I've never been more present than while at the gym. It's been one of the few places that allowed me to leave the world behind.

From each of the coaches, I learned so much. With Harry, I learned the importance of showing up with what you've got each day. From Steph, I learned to push myself to be the best version I could be. With Kin, I felt that there was always fun possible in whatever we do. With Topher, I learned to find different ways to get to the best you. Even though I didn't train much with Bernie, her energy is wonderful and Beth is simply the most positive energy in a class I can feel.

What I learned most was about myself through this experience, I cannot thank the members enough for supporting me in my training. I was a fat child, filled with insecurities about what lifting is, been told that it was only for the best in shape people but that's untrue.

Strength training is for everyone - we can all find something useful about Grit, Perseverance and moving onto the next set every day. I have loved every single session even when I was down in the dumps, and understood the importance of consistency. I love you all with all my heart and wish you the best.
